Which forum is best suited for the resolution of international disputes? Arbitration or the commercial courts that have recently sprung up? The presiding judge Dr. Patrick Melin, as representative of the Commercial Court Stuttgart, will take part in a webinar by the organization "ILEX", where judges at various international commercial courts are to be introduced or are allowed to present themselves and their court. ILEX is an international think tank made up of attorneys, lawyers, corporate lawyers and judges who deal with international commercial litigation. Dr. Melin will be at the webinar on September 9th.

The new Commercial Courts represent a new offer for parties in major commercial disputes to combine the advantages of state courts and arbitration as the "best of both worlds". Ideal framework conditions are available for this at the Mannheim and Stuttgart locations. It is to be hoped that lawyers and parties will opt for this new concept in as large a number as possible in order to further strengthen Germany as a legal centre.
